I have decided to share with my colleagues some of the lessons learned weekly. Each topic I share remains in my brain memory and is well understood.

 

Progress

I have spent five days this week monitoring my behavior in order to build my creativity. I spent for example 10 minutes every day just looking at the people and cars around my streets. That’s how I managed to connect the three holes punch with a traffic light.

  Meland v Weber Case Facts On November 13, 2019 , Creighton Meland (Meland) a corporate shareholder of OSI Systems, Inc. (OSI), filed an action against Shirley N. Weber (Weber), California's Secretary of State, in his official capacity, Defendant, to challenge the constitutionality of the Senate Bill 826 (SB 826), which requires all public corporations based in California to have a minimum number of females on their boards of directors. Like any other shareholder, Meland has the right to vote on the members of the board of directors even though the candidate must receive a majority of votes to be successful.  When Plaintiff filed his complaint, OSI had a board of directors consisting of seven members, all-male. To comply with SB 826, OSI had to elect at  least one woman on their board of directors by the end of 2019 and have the number increase to three by the end of 2021. Throughout these years, his leadership and vision were more focused on social issues happening around the globe rather than on his competitors or profits made.
